Cartier Santos Carree 2961

US$0.00
SOLD

Description

This is the Cartier Santos Carree 2961. The story of the Cartier Santos is well told, that Louis Cartier designed a wristwatch for his friend, Alberto Santos-Dumont. Throughout the years since the first inception of the Santos, there have been many iterations of the iconic model. This reference was first introduced in 1978 as the Santos de Cartier. Replacing the traditional leather band with an integrated bracelet, Cartier manufactured a timepiece with a perfect blend of class and utility. The steel bracelet gives an industrial look to the Santos and the gold accents add a touch of luxury. With the inverse screws on the case, it was something bold and fresh from the maison. This particular reference is the 2961 and comes in a bimetal design with a case size of 29mm and a date window at the 3 o’clock. It comes with the older style fold clasp with the open steel clasp stamped Cartier.

Condition

This Cartier Santos 2961 is in excellent pre-owned condition. The signs of wear on the case and bezel is minimal. The main area of wear is at the caseback where the hairline scratches are more pronounced. The movement has recently been serviced. Overall, very good condition for its age.
