This is the Cartier Tank a Vis Wandering Hours 2554. Part of the extended family of the Cartier Tank, the Tank a Vis was launched as part of the beloved Collection Privee Cartier Paris, or CPCP, collection. This model was introduced in the early 2000s and this reference is perhaps the most complicated among the Tank a Vis. The Tank a Vis is distinctive with the four visible screws on the bezel and a case size of 27 x 31mm. Specifically to the reference 2554 is the wandering hours complication where there are two separate apertures housing the hour and the date. Often referred to as jump hour, the hour disc actually moves smoothly as the minutes pass and hence that description is not entirely accurate. This is a very unusual timepiece that is part of a storied collection and is not commonly offered in the secondary market. The movement is an in-house Cartier Calibre 9902MC.

This Cartier Tank a Vis Wandering Hours is in very good pre-owned condition. It retains its original 18k white gold Cartier-signed buckle. There are some hairlines on the white gold case from prior wear. The sapphire on the front and back remains clean.
