Cartier Tank Cintree 7 Lignes

US$0.00
SOLD

Description

This is the Cartier Tank Cintree. The storied history of the Cartier Tank started in 1917 and was originally inspired by the tanks used during the war. 4 years after the first Cartier Tank, the Tank Cintree was born. In 1921, the curved Tank Cintree was introduced to the world as an avant-garde timepiece that was revolutionary and has never never been replicated since. Cintree means curved in French and the elongation and curvature of the Cintree is shaped after the human wrist, with the purpose of both comfort and practicality. With this, Cartier showed that a wristwatch did not need to conform with the norms of what a traditional wristwatch needed to look like. It was especially during the Art Deco era that the outrageousness of the Cintree fit the whimsical nature of the period seamlessly. The Cintree was produced sparingly over the years in various shapes and sizes. This particular variant is the small size and measures 19 x 35mm.

Condition

This Cartier Tank Cintree Small remains in good overall condition. The watch is unpolished and has signs of wear with hairlines on the bezel. The hallmarks on the caseback are still very visible and the glass and dial remain clean. It also comes with the original Cartier strap and 18K deployant buckle.
