This is the Cartier Tank Dual Time 2917. In recent times, a lot has been made of the beloved Cartier CPCP collection, or Collection Privé Cartier Paris. True to the Tank’s DNA, the 2917 looks like a classic Cartier Tank. As with all CPCP models, the case is precious metal and features a motif spanning from the hands into a gorgeous guilloche as well as a sapphire caseback displaying the movement. This particular reference, the 2917, is one of the least common variants available even with the limited production during the CPCP era. The movement is a Piaget-based Cal 9901 MC and it has extremely wearable case diameter of 29 x 38. Unlike the previously sold Cintree Dual Time, the time is set via a single crown. This rare beauty is the CPCP’s take on a classic Cartier while remaining as close to the Tank as possible.
Condition
This Cartier Tank Dual Time is in good pre-owned condition. The white gold case has some hairline scratches from prior wear consistent to its age. The more obvious scratches are on the case near the 9 o’clock. The sapphire caseback remains in very good condition and it retains its original set of CPCP box and original warranty dated 2011.
