Gallet MultiChron 12

US$0.00
SOLD

Description

This is the Gallet MultiChron 12 Chronograph. Gallet is possibly the world’s oldest watch and clockmaker, with history dating back to 1466. However, the Gallet that is known today dates back to 1826 as that was the year that the name Gallet & Cie was registered. Their first wrist chronograph, the MultiChron 30, was manufactured specifically for the British Royal Air Force and also, the first waterproof wrist chronograph. While not the most famous name today, Gallet is actually still active in repairing and servicing pre-owned watches. The MultiChron 12 is one of the bigger chronographs from the maker with a case size of 38mm. Reminiscent of a Autavia or Evil Nina, this timepiece has a gorgeous reverse panda dial and runs on the workhorse Valjoux 72 manual winding movement with triple white subdials and steel pushers.

Condition

This Gallet MultiChron 12 is in excellent condition and retains all original parts. On the case, there are some signs of wear consistent with its age. The dial and crystal remain perfectly clean and the caseback has minimal signs of wear.
