This is the IWC Cal 852. Originally produced in 1952, the Cal 852 shares many similar characteristics to the more famous hand-wound Cal 89. IWC has been around since 1868 and are renowned for their quality and robustness, especially in the field of aviation watches. It features the in-house automatic Cal 852, designed by Albert Pellaton, where the smallest movements of the rotor was used to wind the mainspring, hence increasing efficiency and reducing wear and tear. This IWC dress watch has twisted lugs with a two-tone silver dial with gold indices and a comfortable case size of 34mm.
Condition
This IWC Cal 852 is in pristine pre-owned condition. There are minimal signs of wear across the case. The dial has aged nicely with the hallmarks still clearly visible on the case. The movement has been serviced and overhauled and the caseback, dial and crystal remains clean.
