Jaeger Le-Coultre 30s Reverso

US$0.00
SOLD

Description

This is the Jaeger Le-Coultre Reverso. The story of the Reverso began in the early 1931, where Rene-Alfred Chauvot patented the creation of what would what eventually become JLC’s most iconic model. The birth of the Reverso was an important moment and actually came before the merger of Jaeger S A and Lecoultre to what is now known today as JLC. A sports watch with a reversible case to protect the dial, the Reverso was meant for the sport of polo. Today, the Reverso is more commonly regarded as a dress watch with its polished and luxurious look. Strangely enough, the early Reversos from the period of 1931 to 1934 carried Tavannes movements as the LeCoultre Caliber 410 was only ready in 1933. A design masterpiece, the Reverso is an everlasting classic suitable for the most refined of watch collectors. The Reverso for sale carries a Tavannes Cal 064 movement, notably from the lack of a seconds hand and is double-signed with Hausmann & Co, an authorized dealer based in Rome since 1794.

Condition

This 30s Reverso is in fairly good condition. The case appears unpolished and there are several hairline scratches on the case itself from prior wear that are consistent with its age. The crown is unsigned. The flipping mechanism functions smoothly despite its age. On the inside of the case, there is a HA initial. The dial remains clean and the indices and hands have aged perfectly.
