Description

This is the Longines Art Deco Rectangular. A dress watch from the 1940s, this timepiece has the trademark rectangular shape reminiscent of Longines watches from that period. It runs on the Cal 25.17 movement, a popular movement used for the majority of Longines rectangular watches during that period. The original silvered dial has aged to a nice hue with some light patina on the dial and the small seconds display at the 6 o’clock. The case size is 22 x 37.5 including the lugs. This timepiece was invoiced on 15 November 1938 to Longines’ agent in Prague.

Condition

This Longines Art Deco Rectangular is in good overall condition. The case has hairline scratches consistent with its age. The movement has been serviced and keeps time well. The caseback also has signs of wear consistent with a timepiece of this age. There’s a scratch near the 2 o’clock on the crystal.
