Longines Sei Tacche 5172

US$0.00
SOLD

Description

This is the Longines 5172 Sei Tacche. Longines was originally found in 1832 by August Agassiz. By 1880, Longines started to create all their movements in-house. Famous for their movements such as the Calibre 20H, 13ZN and 30CH, older Longines house their claim to fame - their movements. After being acquired in 1971 by what is now known as the Swatch Group, Longines started using ETA movements. Vintage Longines tend to be more sought after than their modern counterparts due to their timeless looks and the movement that is housed within. This particular timepiece houses their Caliber 23m and was invoiced in October 1943 to the company Terrase, a Longines AD in Sweden. This model is referenced as the Sei Tacche due to the six notches on the caseback meant for functionality.

Condition

This Longines 5172 is in extremely good vintage condition. There are very minor signs of wear on the case but remains in excellent condition given that it dates to 1943. The dial and crystal is flawless
