In 2019, Louis Erard and Alain Silberstein collaborated to bring the Excellence Regulator, a mischievous, colourful regulator timepiece that brought great commercial success. Banking on the popularity of their first collaboration, they released a trio of watches in a set called the “Triptych”. Among the three watches lies the La Semaine, which translates to the week. Besides the usual hour, minute, seconds hands and date window, it has a day indicator that is represented by a series of smiley faces that can be set by the wearer. It’s an innovative take on the age old indicator that really expresses the creativity of the collaboration. The movement is a modified ETA 2836-2 automatic movement with an open caseback.
