Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5066A

US$0.00
SOLD

Description

This is the Patek Philippe Aquanaut reference 5066A. Founded in 1839, Patek Philippe has always been at the upper echelons of haute horology. A company that has always been privately owned, Patek has been manufacturing watches for almost two centuries without interruption. The company is currently owned by the Stern family, whose heritage dates back to when they were supplying dials to Patek in the 1920s. The Aquanaut was first introduced as an offshoot of their legendary Nautilus. With a porthole design on a rubber strap, the Aquanaut was Patek’s answer to a casual timepiece. The 5066A was introduced a year after the original 5060, where A represented “Acier”, the French word for steel. The 5066 is powered by the self-winding Calibre 330SC with a case size of 36mm. This particular one was produced between 1999 and has a tritium dial.

Condition

This Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5066A is in good pre-owned condition. The patina on the indices have aged extremely well and is uniform. There are some light hairlines on the case but it remains in good overall condition. There are more pronounced signs of wear along the bracelet which appears to have been heavily used in the past. The hands are a lighter shade, which is rather common on the neo-vintage Aquanauts. It also retains a full set of box, original papers and an uncut Patek Philippe rubber strap.
