The company is currently owned by the Stern family, whose heritage dates back to when they were supplying dials to Patek in the 1920s. True to the brand’s history of complicated wristwatches, this reference 5110J consists of the world-time complication with a pusher at the 10 o’clock for easy adjustment of the world-time complication. This reference was introduced in 2000 and discontinued shortly after in 2006 and was produced in the four precious metals of white, rose, yellow gold and platinum. With the engine-turned guilloche dial and the UTC markings surrounding the dial and the case profile of a Calatrava, the 5110J is certainly one of the more iconic timepieces with this particular complication.
Condition
This Patek Philippe 5110J is in very good pre-owned condition. Both sapphire crystals on the front and back are nick-free and the dial is clean. There are some hairlines on the lugs and the caseback from prior wear consistent with its age but no dings. It comes with the original Patek Philippe clasp which also has some scratches from prior wear. The case appears to be unpolished.
