Rolex Datejust 16233 Vignette

This is the Rolex Datejust 16233. The Datejust is Rolex’s staple, their best selling and most famous dress model in the Rolex lineup. The Datejust was originally released in 1945 as the first automatic watch with a date function. Through the years, the Datejust has evolved greatly and there has been varying dial configurations for the Datejust buyers to select from. One particularly attractive gem-set dial variant is the Vignette diamond dial. Produced in either blue, red or brown (with brown being the rarest variant), the shade of the dial is darker on the outside and vivid on the inside accentuated with diamond set indices. As vintage and neo-vintage Datejust references start to become more collectible, the Vignette is a particular dial variant that has started to set itself apart from the others.
Condition
This Rolex 16233 is in excellent pre-owned condition with minimal signs of wear. The bracelet has virtually no stretch and the factory vignette dial is clean. The case appears to have been lightly polished in the past but still retains even lugs.
