Rolex GMT Master II 16710

US$0.00
SOLD

Description

This is the Rolex GMT Master II 16710. The Rolex GMT Master II is a model that needs little introduction . From the very first GMT in 1955 which sported the blue and red Pepsi bezel to the very first GMT Master II from the 1980s, the GMT Master II is a staple of Rolex’s sports line. This variant was produced until 2007 when it was succeeded by the current line of GMT Master II, the 116710. The red and black bezel is the only one that is yet to be produced in ceramic, while the black and red/blue variants remain the two most popular watches in the Rolex line. This is a tritium dial and there is a pale beige on the hour markers that remains desirable among collectors today.

Condition

This Rolex GMT Master II is in very good pre-owned condition. It appears to have been lightly polished before but the lugs still remain thick and even. There are minimal signs of wear on the case, with the main scratches being on the underside of the lugs from prior strap changes. The bezel remains in good condition and there is a light patina that has developed on the tritium indices. The bracelet is a 78790 with 11 links stamped with a period correct Z serial. This timepiece will be accompanied with a Rolex service centre receipt where a new original crystal and a bezel service insert was installed.
