This is the Seiko 84th Anniversary of King Rama 9. It is a limited edition numbered 5**/2,555 and was only sold in Thailand to commemorate the 84th birthday of their beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej, aka King Rama 9. He has been the longest reigning king of Thailand to date with a reign spanning over seven full decades. King Rama 9 was extremely loved due to his kindness and generosity. This is a bimetal watch with a stainless steel and rose gold case. The bezel is rose gold and the crown is yellow gold, everything else is steel. The caseback is stamped with a commemorative message to the King as well as the numbered edition of this piece. It runs on the Seiko Caliber 4R36, which has the day / date function. On the display, there is the crest of King Rama 9 at the 12 o'clock and rose gold stick markers and hands and has a lug width of 20mm with a case size of 40mm.
Condition
This Seiko retains all its original parts as well as box, international guarantee and manual. The 4R36 movement is in excellent working order with the day and date function changing consistently at midnight. There are some fine hairlines on the bezel accumulated over time. Both the bracelet and the Seiko leather strap remain unworn in brand new condition.
