Tudor Tiger Prince Chronograph 79280

US$0.00
SOLD

Description

This is the Tudor Prince Chronograph 79280. The very first Tudor Chronograph was created in 1970, with the now iconic 7031 and 7032. Affectionately known as the “Homeplate”, the early Tudor Chronographs are considered as collectibles today given their rarity. The 79xxx series was released in 1995. Produced with a steel bezel containing an engraved tachymetre, early Tudor 79280s were still fitted with Rolex parts such as Rolex crowns and caseback. In 2000, they transitioned from Oysterdate into Prince Date with Tudor casebacks, Tudor crowns and Tudor folding clasps. In this regard, this reference was regarded as a transitional one and is the final reference of Tudor Chronographs of the past. This particular 79280 has a champagne coloured dial and is dated 2004. It comes on a Tudor 62490 bracelet stamped AB1 with 632 endlinks as well as original box and punched papers.

Condition

This Tudor Prince Chronograph 79280 is in excellent pre-owned condition. There are some hairlines on the case from prior wear. The case appears unpolished. The serial and reference are still very visible between the lugs and it comes with a full set of box and punched papers.
