Vacheron Constantin Overseas 42040

US$0.00
SOLD

Description

This is the Vacheron Constantin Overseas 42040. Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest continually operating watch manufacturer. A rich history of producing quality of the highest standards, they are undoubtedly one of the most resilient as well, surviving both world wars and many other historical events along the way. They’re also the purveyor of the world’s most complicated wristwatch. The first generation Overseas was produced in 1996 as a successor to the 222. Shaped after their signature Maltese cross, the 42040 was industrial, rugged and versatile and was powered by the VC1310 in a comfortable case size of 37mm. The Overseas has since gone on to become Vacheron’s most popular model and their flagship sports model. Of particular interest is the salmon dial, which is likely the rarest variant of the Generation 1 Overseas models.

Condition

This Vacheron Constantin Overseas 42040 is in excellent pre-owned condition. The watch appears to have been lightly polished before but still retains sharp edges with factory bevelling. The dial is clean but there are some luminous loss on the minute and hour hands. The bracelet remains in fantastic condition with some hairline scratches on the inside near the clasp.
