This is the Vacheron Constantin Overseas 42040. Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest continually operating watch manufacturer. A rich history of producing quality of the highest standards, they are undoubtedly one of the most resilient as well, surviving both world wars and many other historical events along the way. They’re also the purveyor of the world’s most complicated wristwatch. The first generation Overseas was produced in 1996 as a successor to the 222. Shaped after their signature Maltese cross, the 42040 was industrial, rugged and versatile and was powered by the VC1310 in a comfortable case size of 37mm. The Overseas has since gone on to become Vacheron’s most popular model and their flagship sports model. Furthermore, this is the variant with the blue dial which has gained more popularity over the white and grey variants in recent time.

Condition

This Vacheron Constantin 42040 is in very good pre-owned condition. There are some light hairlines on the bezel from prior wear. The case appears to be unpolished. There is light oxidation near the 11 o’clock index. The bracelet has virtually no stretch and is in very good condition for its age.
