This is the Vacheron Constantin Overseas 42042. Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin is the world’s oldest continually operating watch manufacturer. A rich history of producing quality of the highest standards, they are undoubtedly one of the most resilient as well, surviving both world wars and many other historical events along the way. They’re also the purveyor of the world’s most complicated wristwatch. The first generation Overseas was produced in 1996 as a successor to the 222. Shaped after their signature Maltese cross, the 42042 was industrial, rugged and versatile and was powered by the VC1311 as an upgraded caliber from the 42040. It has a case size of 37mm and this variant is in superluminova with Arabic numerals. The Overseas has since gone on to become Vacheron’s most popular model and their flagship sports model.

This Vacheron Constantin 42042 is in very good pre-owned condition. The dial remains clean and the sapphire crystal is nick-free. The case appears unpolished and both the case and caseback remains in very good pre-owned condition with minimal hairlines from prior wear. There are some light hairlines on the bezel and bracelet as expected from its age. the bracelet has minimal stretch and fits up to a wrist size of 6.75”.
