This is the Zenith El Primero 36,000 VpH Tri-Colour. It would be impossible to speak about horology without mentioning the importance of the El Primero movement. In Spanish, El Primero means “the first”, and it was very apt for such a groundbreaking chronograph movement. It was the first high frequency movement at 36,000 vibrations per hour and was first featured in the legendary A384 back in the 1960s. The 36,000 VpH is named as such and sports a gorgeous tri-colour silver sunburst dial with an open caseback. Prior to this model, the exact same watch was available in 38mm. This particular variant is 42mm and was introduced in Baselworld 2013 and was recently discontinued.
Condition
This Zenith El Primero 36,000 VpH is in good pre-owned condition. There are hairlines on the case from prior wear. The open caseback remains in pristine condition and the sapphire crystal is flawless. It comes in a full set of box and card dated 2016.
